NGOs in legal challenge against UK snooping

EU and US civil liberty groups on Monday are presenting their legal arguments in a British court against the GCHQ, reports the BBC. The NGOs contest the "interception, collection and use of communications" used by the spy agency following allegations of mass surveillance in documents leaked to the press.

Berlin risks being 'culprit' for stalling EU, warns Green MEP

Reinhard Buetikofer, who participated in the failed coalition talks, puts the blame squarely on FDP being 'afraid to govern', but hopes "there will be a lot of phone calls" to German politicians on the consequences of the deadlock in Berlin.
