UK wants EU to cancel carbon permits

The UK wants the EU to cancel millions of carbon permits in an effort to restore the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), reports Reuters. ETS is seen as a key tool in fighting climate change but the high number of permits has undermined financial incentives for companies to cut emissions.
