MEPs give Lithuania the green light to join euro

The European Parliament backed Lithuania's bid to join the euro in 2015 by a 545 to 116 majority on Wednesday, paving the way for the Baltic country to join the single currency in January. Lithuania will become the nineteenth member of the euro.
