EU government ransom money bankrolls terrorists

European governments are bankrolling Islamist militants by handing over millions to release hostages, reports the International New York Times. "Kidnapping Europeans for ransom has become a global business for Al Qaeda, bankrolling its operations across the globe," says the paper. The group has made $125 million since 2008.
