Schulz: Migrant crisis threatens EU free movement

EP head Schulz said at an EU summit Thursday the migrant crisis puts the future of the Schengen passport-free area "more than ever at risk" from politicians who want to close borders. He backed EU migrant quotas, adding: "Voluntary or intergovernmental schemes have been tried in the past and failed".
