EP dieselgate committee first meeting next week

The European Parliament's inquiry committee that will look into the EU and member states' role in the Volkswagen scandal will meet next Wednesday (2 March) to select a chairperson. It will be the first meeting since the parliament decided to have the committee on emissions measurements in December 2015.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
