EU commission proposes lifting visas for Georgia

The European Commission has proposed to lift visa requirements for Georgian citizens travelling to the Schengen area. Migration commissioner Avramopoulos said Wednesday he hoped the measure would enter into force in summer. Biometric passports will give 90-day access for businessmen or tourists, but will not give the right to work.
