Belgian court rejects EU fiscal treaty complaint

The court said the treaty doesn't undermine the state's exclusive right to adopt the annual budget and doesn't affect the state's obligation to protect its citizens. It also ruled it couldn't be proven that the interests of the 22 plaintiffs - individuals and NGOs - were hurt by the treaty.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania
