Nato may create Romania-based brigade
By EUobserver
Nato will consider a new "tailored presence" in south-eastern Europe with a "multinational framework brigade" in Romania, alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg has said. Romania had offered to provide headquarters for the Nato brigade, he said, to facilitate exercises and other "assurance measures" in the region. Nato is also sending up to 1,000 troops to each of the Baltic states and Poland to deter Russian aggression.
