Calais wants to end UK perks on migrants
By EUobserver
Natacha Bouchart, the mayor of Calais, France, has said the UK should take more responsibility for migrants trying to cross via the Channel Tunnel. She said a 2003 deal, under which British police does immigration checks on the French side and which sees many people stuck on the French side, should no longer apply. “The English wanted to take back their freedom: they must take back their border”, she said.
