Austrian court rules presidential election to be repeated

The Austrian constitutional court ruled on Friday that the country's presidential election has to be "entirely" repeated. The ballot was challenged by the far-right Freedom Party (FPO) alleging irregularities in 94 of 117 constituencies after their candidate Norbert Hofer lost the election in May to former Green party leader Alexander Van der Bellen with only 30,863 votes. Elections could possibly take place in September or October.
