EU has paid €105m of €3bn Turkey deal
By EUobserver
The European Commission said Thursday it had paid €105 million of the €3 billion promised to improve living conditions for Syrian refugees in Turkey. It said €229 million had been contracted already. It also said €2.2 billion had been "allocated" by the commission and member states. Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the EU of failing to pay out the money.
