Amnesty lambasts states for rejecting UN refugee plan
By EUobserver
Rights group Amnesty International has accused national leaders of failing to "bear the weight of responsibility" after they finalised a watered-down outcome document for adoption at a UN refugee summit on 19 September. The document failed to include a UN-backed pledge to move one in 10 refugees to the developed world. Over 20 million people worldwide are currently forced to flee from conflict, violence and persecution.
