Finnish EU official resigns for business lobby

Taneli Lahti, former head of cabinet for euro commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis, will begin a new job as Brussels director of EK, The Confederation of Finnish Industries in October. Internal disagreement over the handling of recent budget rule breaking in Spain and Portugal and general European pessimism factored into the Finnish EU official's decision to unexpectedly quit his commission post in April, an interview with Finnish media has revealed.
