Report: VW will compensate US dealers with €1bln

Volkswagen Group will compensate its 650 dealers in the United States with around €1 billion to cover losses occurred due to the emissions cheating scandal, Reuters reported Thursday. The agreement comes on top of a €13 billion settlement with American authorities and consumers. The German company may still face other substantial penalties in the United States. Meanwhile, European dealers and consumers have little perspective of a similar deal.
