France's highest court suspends burkini ban
By EUobserver
France's highest administrative court on Friday suspended a burkini ban in the commune of Villeneuve-Loubet, near Nice. The seaside resort had banned the full-body swimwear, used by Muslims, after the terrorist attack in Nice. Other towns had also banned the burkini, triggering a country-wide debate. The ruling came shortly after presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy announced he would ban burkini's nationwide if elected president in 2017.
