Verheugen: My emissions law should have been clearer

Former EU commissioner Verheugen told MEPs Tuesday exceptions enshrined in emissions cheating law "should have been worded with greater clarity". Carmakers used exceptions to defend why cars emit above EU limits. "If one could do this all over again, then of course I would propose that on this particular point we look at it much more closely." The U-turn came weeks after he said his law was "not vague".
