Irish government appeals EU's Apple ruling

Ireland's government agreed on Friday to appeal the European Commission's decision about Apple. The commission on Tuesday said that Ireland should collect €13 billion in back taxes from the American technology company. Finance minister Michael Noonan apparently convinced the independent members of the coalition to support the appeal. The minority government will also seek an endorsement from the Irish parliament on 7 September.
