Merkel's popularity sinks to five-year low

Only 45% of respondents said they are satisfied with German chancellor Angela Merkel, the lowest number recorded since 2011 according to a survey by pollsters Infratest dimap.Merkel's CDU party lost a percentage point, and is now down to 33%. The anti-immigration AfD won two points, overtaking the Green party and making it the third strongest party, the poll shows, ahead of the weekend's regional elections in Germany.
