Poland to buy US anti-ballistic missiles

Poland will buy eight batteries of the US Patriot anti-ballistic system, defence minister Antoni Macierewicz confirmed on Tuesday. Two batteries will be delivered by 2019 and six after 2020. The deal, the cost of which is still not known, had been announced by the previous Polish government in April 2015. This is the first time the current government has confirmed it.
