US approves Airbus sale to Iran
By EUobserver
The US has authorised European aircraft manufacturer to sell 17 passenger planes to Iran, the first part of a 118-plane contract signed in January. The deal was made possible because an embargo was lifted after an international agreement on Iran's nuclear activities, but US approval was needed because the aircraft include parts made in the US. Airbus expects the US to authorise of the other jets later this year.
