Don't be naive with Russia, warns Estonia's president
By EUobserver
Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves has said he was "sometimes bewildered by the naivety of some leaders" when they deal with Russia. "We cannot count on Russia to stick to fundamental agreements regarding Western security," he told news website Buzzfeed. Ilves, who leave office next month, said the threats to Baltic states were "relatively low" because no-one really wanted to test Article 5, the Nato mutual defence clause.
