EU unfazed by Fico on migrant quotas

A European Commission spokesman said Tuesday "there is nothing optional when it comes to the application of community law", referring to an EU decision on relocation of migrants under national quotas. The spokesman declined to comment directly on remarks by Slovak PM Robert Fico, the holder of the current EU presidency, who said the quota project is "politically finished" and who is challenging the quotas in EU courts.
