EU to suspend Colombia fund

The EU will suspend a €600-million trust fund for Colombia, after a peace agreement between the Colombian authorities and the FARC guerrilla group was rejected in a referendum. "Obviously in the current situation we cannot continue with the launch of this fund,” Slovak Europe minister Ivan Korcok, whose country holds the EU rotating presidency, told the European Parliament on Wednesday. The fund was set up in March to help reforms.
