Syrian terror suspect kills himself in German jail
By EUobserver
A Syrian suspected of planning an airport attack in Berlin has killed himself in his prison cell, German officials say. Jaber al-Bakr was arrested in Leipzig on Monday after three Syrian refugees turned him in. The 22-year-old was on hunger strike and was under 24-hour surveillance, according to Der Spiegel. Bakr was granted asylum after arriving in Germany last year from Damascus province.
