Boris Johnson is unscrupulous careerist, says MEP

British foreign secretary Boris Johnson is "an unscrupulous careerist and opportunist without conviction", MEP Manfred Weber said on Monday. "If he has any decency, he will step down," tweeted Weber, leader of the centre-right EPP group in the European Parliament. It emerged AT the weekend that Johnson wrote a newspaper column opposing Brexit but did not publish it and supported Brexit instead.
