Rajoy to be installed as Spanish prime minister

Spanish conservative leader Mariano Rajoy is set to be installed as prime minister later, after he won backing on Saturday to form a minority government following 10 months of political deadlock. Rajoy only won the vote thanks to the abstention of most Socialist MPs. Ousted Socialist leader Pedro Sanchez resigned as an MP before the vote over the decision to allow Rajoy to govern.
