Ireland to appeal in Apple tax case

Ireland will lodge on Thursday an appeal to the European Court of Justice against the European Commission's decision to force Apple to hand over €13 billion in unpaid taxes to the Irish state, the country's finance minister Michael Noonan told MEPs on Tuesday. Ireland has opposed the commission's decision because it puts into question its business-friendly corporate tax policy.
