US pledges 'unwavering' Nato loyalty

The result of last month's presidential election will not change the US commitment to defend its Nato allies, secretary of state John Kerry has said. "The change of administration will not change the unwavering commitment of the United States to our obligations to Nato," he said in Brussels after a meeting of Nato ministers. President-elect Donald Trump previously said Nato was outdated and that he might not defend some allies.
