Facebook in fake news crack down in Germany

Social media giant Facebook on Sunday announced it would be removing fake news from its German-language platform. The firm will make it easier to report fake news, display false labels on items verified as fake, and curb advertising revenue to fake news sites. "Our efforts are focused on the distribution of unique false alarms generated by spammers," said Facebook in a statement.
