Scottish independence vote 'more likely' after May's Brexit speech

A new independence referendum is "more likely" after British prime minister Theresa May said on Tuesday that the UK will leave the single market as well as the EU, Scotland's first minister Nicola Sturgeon warned. "I'm not prepared for Scotland to be taken down a path which I firmly believe to be damaging not just to our economy but to the very kind of society that we are," said Sturgeon.
