Outgoing US vice-president warns Europe on Russia

Outgoing US vice-president Joe Biden said at the Davos forum on Wednesday that Russia was trying to “whittle away at the edges of the European project" and “testing the fault lines between Western nations.” He said the US and EU should “lead the fight to defend the values that have brought us to where we are today", amid fears that incoming president Donald Trump could turn his back on Europe.
