By EUobserver
Stefan Loefven, the prime minister of Sweden, announced that his country and the European Commission will later this year host a social summit gathering EU heads of state and trade union leaders. The informal EU summit aims to strengthen social policies in the EU, including stronger trade union rights and female labour market participation. It will be held in Gothenburg on 17 November.
