Report: EU to hold early summit with China

EU and China are preparing a summit in April or May in order to promote free trade and international cooperation, in a reaction to Donald Trump's election as US president, according to Reuters. Trump has indicated he might target foreign importers in an "America-first" trade policy. "With an early summit, China wants to send a message to the United States that it has friends in Europe," an EU source said.
