Scots slowly losing appetite for independence - poll

Scottish support for independence has fallen to its lowest level this year, a poll of 1,060 people by Kantar suggests. Some 55 percent said they would vote to stay in the UK if a referendum was held now, 37 percent wanted independence and 8 percent did not know. Other polls show a similar rising trend for a no vote. In the 2014 referendum, 45 percent backed independence.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
