EU Commission steps up probe into Hungary's NGO law

The European Commission on Wednesday took a further step with the probe into Hungary's recently adopted NGO laws, which would require groups receiving funds from outside Hungary to be labelled as "foreign-funded" and an additional registration - or face closure. The EU executive argues that the law breaks EU rules on free movement of capital, and violates the right to freedom of association. Hungary has one month to answer.
