MEPs adopt call to fight sexual harassment
By EUobserver
The European Parliament adopted a resolution on Thursday, denouncing sexual harassment and calling for the creation of an independent task-force to assess the extent of harassment within the EU institution. The text was adopted with 580 votes in favour, 10 votes against and 27 abstentions. In recent days, dozens of parliamentary assistants have said they have been a victim of harassment by colleagues and MEPs themselves.
