French banks close Le Pen accounts

French bank Societe Generale has closed down the account of populist anti-EU party the National Front after 30 years. The French branch of British lender HSBC has also closed down the personal account of NF leader Marine Le Pen. The banks did not publicly say why, but Le Pen, who is dogged by allegations of misspending, said she was the victim of a political "fatwa".
