National Front charged over EU Parliament 'fake jobs'

France's National Front (FN) party has been charged for embezzlement over its suspected use of European Parliament assistants for party work, its treasurer Wallerand de Saint-Just told Le Monde newspaper. The FN is suspected of having employed some 40 people, paid by the parliament as assistants to MEPs, including party leader Marine Le Pen, at a cost of around €5 million.
