Italy likely to hold national elections on 4 March
By EUobserver
Italy's main political parties have agreed to hold elections on 4 March next year, reported Italian media. Repubblica said Italian president Sergio Mattarella had confirmed the date was set, but added that 11 March remained a possibility as well. Under new election laws, there will only be a clear-cut winner if one party or bloc receives over 40 percent of the vote.
