Ukraine and Russia exchange prisoners

Russian-controlled fighters have delivered 16 prisoners to Ukraine and Ukrainian forces handed over 99 people in the only such exchange of this year. The move comes amid ongoing fighting, with International monitors from the OSCE reporting 60 explosions in the past 24 hours in the Donetsk area of east Ukraine. The violence escalated after the US authorised sales of sniper rifles and other light weapons to Ukraine earlier this month.
