UK to pay for beefed up Calais security

The United Kingdom is set to pay an extra €50 million to beef up security around the French port city of Calais. The move comes ahead of a meeting on Thursday between French president Emmanuel Macron and British prime minister Theresa May. The two are set to discuss, among other issues, reforming the 2003 Le Touquet agreement. The agreement allows British border guards to patrol inside French territory.
