Berlin wants tougher controls of company sales to China

The German government wants to protect German companies against acquisitions from China by means of stricter EU laws, Matthias Machnig, state secretary in Germany's economics ministry has said. "It is essential that we get a tougher law in the European Union this year to resist takeover fantasies or technology and know-how outflow," he told Welt am Sonntag.
