Le Pen proposes new name for National Front

Leader of the French National Front party, Marine Le Pen, announced on Sunday that the party will change its name and be called Rassemblement National (National Gathering) - provided the name change is approved in a postal vote among party members in the coming weeks. "It must become clear to all that we have become a party intent on governing," Le Pen said at the party's annual congress in Lille.
