EU parliament chief promises to tackle harassment

European Parliament president Antonio Tajani on Monday received a petition of over 129,000 signatures to stop sexual harassment in the assembly. "We are working hard on this. We will change the rules, we will strengthen the rules," he said. The petition was launched by German Green Terry Reintke and demands changes in the culture and rules of the parliament to prevent harassment.

EU mulls coercion to get refugee kids' fingerprints

EU policy and law makers are ironing out final details of a legislative reform on collecting the fingerprints of asylum seekers and refugees, known as Eurodac. The latest plan includes possibly using coercion against minors, which one MEP calls "violence".
