Scottish parliament likely to reject EU withdrawal bill

The Scottish parliament is expected to reject plans by prime minister Theresa May to temporarily 'reserve' devolved powers in around 24 areas for seven years, in order to create UK-wide frameworks to protect the internal market after Brexit. The Scottish government says such frameworks must be agreed by consent, not imposed on Scotland, with May running the risk that Scottish MPs vote against the EU withdrawal bill.
