Dutch court confirms landmark climate ruling

A Dutch court of appeal confirmed on Tuesday a 2015 ruling by a lower court, which ordered the Dutch government to take more action to limit climate change. Climate activist Marjan Minnesma told broadcaster NOS that the government's arguments had been "swept away", and that she expected activists in other countries to be inspired by the ruling. Similar cases are underway in Belgium, Ireland and elsewhere.
