Swedish PM resigns after no-confidence vote
By EUobserver
Swedish prime minister Stefan Lofven has handed in his notice of resignation, giving parliament's speaker the job of finding a new government after the Social Democrat leader lost a vote of no-confidence last week, Reuters reports. According to Lofven, the majority of Sweden do not want new elections. Lofven said he is open to a grand coalition with the conservative Moderates, but not with the Swedish Democrats.
