Brussels is stepping up its fight against piracy to protect the intellectual property rights of the EU with China as the priority target in the bloc's struggle, a business survey carried out for the European Commission has indicated.
"The exploitation and protection of intellectual property goes to the heart of the EU's ability to compete in the global economy," the commission said in a statement.
