Tony Blair has spoken out in favour of an EU fund for people affected by globalisation, with the aim of having a full budget deal for the bloc in December.
In a speech to MEPs, ahead of an informal summit of EU leaders near London on Thursday (27 October), the British prime minister suggested the meeting could lead to a basic agreement on the economic direction Europe should take in the face of globalisation and demographic changes.
